To write”, for the Chinese, means “to paint ideas”. The characters used to express them turn into an “ink game”. They acquire a rhythm of their own, independent of their senses, and are admired as abstract designs. Painting and calligraphy require the same technique, the mastery of the brush stroke.
We offer a three half-day workshop to introduce you to the basic techniques of calligraphy and Chinese painting, in Indian ink and in color. The workshop will be held from 10 people registered in the class. Equipment is available for purchase on site.
